Welcome to the home of Global Electric Street Racing. The Role Are you an expert at orchestrating complex, international projects from the first blueprint to the final teardown? We are looking for a Senior Event Project Manager to report to the Event Project Management (EPM) Director, taking full ownership of the planning and delivery of events across the global Formula E World Championship calendar. This is a high‑impact, traveling leadership role designed for a strategist who thrives in the “plan, build, live, and de‑rig” lifecycle. You will be the central heartbeat of specific race events, acting as the critical link between internal departments, local host cities and external stakeholders to ensure every E‑Prix is delivered safely, on time and to world‑class specifications.
End‑to‑End Project Ownership: You will proactively steer the cross‑departmental planning process, supporting everything from initial objectives and KPIs to the implementation of sophisticated monitoring tools. You aren’t just following a timeline; you are challenging internal processes to meet the highest industry standards. Stakeholder & Budget Management: Act as the primary filter and conduit for all race‑specific enquiries. You will manage owned budget lines with precision and provide vital upward reporting to the Host City Director and EPM Director, ensuring total transparency on event status and financial health. Team Leadership & Consistency: Beyond managing the project, you will manage people. You’ll provide direct line management to Event Project Managers and Coordinators, while collaborating with other Lead EPMs to ensure a unified, “one‑team” approach across the entire global season.
What we’re looking for in you
The Seasoned Events Professional: You bring 3+ years of experience as a project lead in the Sports Events industry, specifically managing complex, large‑scale temporary events. You have a proven track record of driving resourceful projects in international markets and an intellectual capability equivalent to degree level. The Technical Strategist: You possess an advanced understanding of project management methodologies and are a power user of program management software (e.g., Google tools). You don’t just collect data; you analyse and report it to drive tactical and operational success. The High‑Level Communicator: You are a clear, effective communicator with “emotional dexterity.” You have the outstanding relationship‑building skills required to manage diverse stakeholders and lead a multi‑disciplinary delivery team under the unique pressures of a live broadcast environment. Resilient & Globally Minded: This role is built for the professional traveler. You are willing to travel to approximately 4‑5 event locations for sustained periods, often at short notice. You work autonomously in high‑pressure environments and possess the commercial acumen to make strategic decisions on the fly.
