Senior Estimator - Preston, Lancashire, UK£70,000 - £80,000 per annum + packageAbout the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join a well-established North West construction business. The role involves preparing accurate and competitive estimates for industrial, commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects, with values up to £20 million.The ideal candidate will have strong commercial awareness, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously. Causeway software experience is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for industrial, commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects.Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure a complete understanding of project requirements.Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to obtain and verify pricing.Maintain and develop estimating databases, including labour, plant, and materials.Produce tender submissions, bills of quantities, and comprehensive cost reports.Work closely with the commercial and project teams to support bid strategy, value engineering, and risk assessments.Ensure estimates meet internal processes, industry standards, and client expectations.Key RequirementsProven experience as a Senior Estimator within construction.Strong background in industrial, commercial, residential, and refurbishment projects.Competent in Causeway software for estimating and cost management.Excellent numeracy, analytical, and organisational skills.Strong communication and negotiation abilities.Ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.What We OfferCompetitive salary of £70,000 - £80,000 plus benefits package.Opportunity to work on varied and high-value construction projects across the North West.Supportive and collaborative working environment.Career development opportunities and professional training.
