Your new role
As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for transforming tender information into a comprehensive and competitive financial submission. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help position the business to win work while maintaining rigorous financial standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare all financial aspects of the tendering process, from initial identification through to handover and post-submission support.
- Produce the required financial documentation for senior leadership review, including Chief Estimator, Operations Director and Managing Director.
- Support the bidding team during post-tender negotiations.
- Maintain and update accurate benchmarking data from completed and secured bids.
- Liaise with internal building services teams to integrate MEP and FS costing into tender submissions.
- Work with Procurement to select suitable subcontractors, identify opportunities for value improvement, and ensure competitive pricing.
- Act as an advocate for digital tendering practices, including electronic submissions and BIM integration.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience estimating for large-scale building projects including Commercial and MOD in excess of £80m.
- Strong proficiency in computerised estimating systems.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to produce robust, well-supported estimates.
- Experience issuing, managing, and responding to tender queries.
