MCS Group has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join a dynamic, award-winning company with a proven reputation of delivering high-quality solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to play a key role within an innovative team. The Role We are working alongside a leading civils company to recruit a Senior Estimator to join their team. In this role you will play a key part in the Estimating team, preparing and managing detailed cost estimates for projects across a wide range of sectors including transport infrastructure, renewable energy, and utilities. You will; Research and analyse material, equipment and labour costs, including identifying value engineering opportunities. Prepare and issue subcontractor/supplier enquiry packages, gather quotations, and evaluate them for competitiveness and compliance. Support programme preparation, project planning and risk assessment while building accurate rates and prices from first principles and supplier inputs. Attend relevant meetings and site visits, ensuring a strong understanding of project requirements. Prepare and present tender submissions to deadlines, using estimating software and working closely with the Head of Estimating. What's in it for you; Competitive salary and benefits. The Ideal Candidate; Proven experience working as a Estimator/Quantity Surveyor in the construction/engineering industry, particularly pricing civil works. Relevant Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent experience. Strong knowledge of cost management, estimating, and contract administration.
