At National Highways, we are proud custodians of diverse habitats within our soft estates. These linear habitats integrate the Strategic Road Network (SRN) into the landscape and provide vital corridors for protected species. We are passionate about managing these assets responsibly, and we are looking for a Senior Environmental Specialist to join our Environment Team in the Midlands.
In this role, you will have specific responsibility for managing a portfolio of works for the Midlands SRN, supporting delivery of asset needs and contributing to improving the condition of the soft estate asset to benefit landscape, biodiversity and interoperability across all assets.
Please note that you will be required to drive as part of your role, and you will need to have no more than 3 points to be considered for this position and during employment.
Lead and coordinate environmental schemes for renewal and improvement of soft estate assets
Lead and coordinate the identification and evaluation of environmental asset needs to develop renewal and enhancement schemes, including compiling evidence and options for value management
Provide technical advice and input into early design solutions for soft estate and environmental schemes
