Insurance Lead Sector Architect – Senior Manager

Location: London

Salary: £100,000 – £120,000 + £6,000 car allowance + 10% bonus

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Lead Sector Architect at Senior Manager level to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering technology-enabled business platforms for Tier 1 insurance clients. This is an opportunity to design visionary target architectures, drive complex transformations, and foster innovation across cloud, data, and AI within the insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and deliver end-to-end technology solutions for major insurance clients. Develop sector-specific reference assets, target platforms, and strategic roadmaps. Provide technical oversight across multiple programmes, ensuring architectural vision is realised. Mentor and grow future architects within the team, accelerating capability development. Lead innovation initiatives in areas such as cloud, data, AI orchestration, and new technologies. Collaborate with senior client stakeholders to bring fresh perspectives and accelerate business strategies. Support business development activities alongside client delivery and practice expansion.

What We’re Looking For

Exceptional expertise in insurance sector business and technology architecture. Proven ability to design and implement technology-enabled business platforms. Strong background in end-to-end solution architecture and enterprise architecture. Leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary teams on complex transformations. Familiarity with the sector’s vendor landscape and relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, SAFe). Industry certifications (e.g. Guidewire Certified Specialist, Salesforce Financial Services Cloud) highly desirable. Understanding of insurance regulations such as Solvency UK and FCA consumer duty. Strong knowledge of cloud, data, and AI technologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, from C-suite to operational level.
