Are you an experienced Engineering Geologist looking for a role where you can take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and play a key part in delivering complex ground investigation schemes?

A well-established consultancy based in London is looking to appoint a Senior Engineering Geologist to support a strong pipeline of infrastructure, residential, and commercial developments across the UK.

The Role

As a Senior Engineering Geologist, you'll be involved in both site and office-based work, taking responsibility for delivering high-quality ground investigation and interpretation.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and managing ground investigations
Supervising site works (drilling, trial pits, logging, sampling)
Soil and rock logging to current standards
Producing factual and interpretative reports
Developing geotechnical models and providing design recommendations
Managing project timelines, budgets, and client relationships
Mentoring junior engineers and geologists

Requirements

Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or a related field
Typically 5+ years' experience in ground investigation / geotechnical consultancy
Strong logging and report writing experience
Must live within a commutable distance from London office
Experience managing site works and subcontractors
Good understanding of UK standards and guidance
Working towards (or achieved) Chartership (e.g. CGeol, ICE)
Full UK driving licence
