Senior Engineer / Regional Engineer

We’re working with a regional civil engineering contractor to recruit a Senior Engineer / Regional Engineer to join their Southern office. This role offers the chance to support a broad range of regional projects rather than being tied to a single scheme, making it well suited to someone who enjoys variety, mentoring others, and contributing to the wider technical capability of a growing business.

The business continues to expand, with turnover now exceeding £100m and projects ranging up to £25m in value. Their projects include coastal and marine schemes, highways, and water infrastructure.

As Senior Engineer, you’ll support delivery on their larger projects, overseeing a small team of engineers while also providing roaming support across the region. This will include helping junior engineers with technical queries, problem solving, quality assurance, and day-to-day development. You’ll also play a part in managing resource across projects, including arranging temporary engineering cover or reallocating internal resource when required.

You will also get involved in early careers engagement such as careers fairs, university visits, and supporting with the recruitment of placement engineers, apprentices, and graduates.
