Job Description:
In this role, you will provide resourceful assurance that designs and builds are mature, compliant, safe, and ready for subsequent Engineering activities. You will identify technical risks, confirm mitigations, and assess the suitability of engineering plans and processes. As part of PNEDs multi-disciplinary nuclear engineering team, you will focus on Authorisation Condition compliance while having opportunities to develop skills across the Naval Reactor Plant lifecycle.
Core duties:
Conduct compliance and verification activities for Authorisation Conditions 20 and 27
Maintain the Compliance Matrix Workbooks and Compliance Verification Plan, updating the Compliance Dashboard
Support regulatory interactions and coordinate internal and external inspections with NSR&I Advisors
Work collaboratively with Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Test & Commissioning teams to deliver compliance activities
Monitor adherence to compliance arrangements and ensure effective oversight across assigned areas
Essential Skills:
Understanding of Nuclear Regulation or Nuclear Compliance
Previous experience working in heavily regulated industries i.e. Oil/Gas
Experience within Quality Assurance, Engineering & Manufacturing Engineering or Product Assurance
The Platform Nuclear Engineering Department (PNED) team:
The PNED Department delivers multidisciplinary nuclear engineering capability across reactor plant programmes. While this role focuses on Authorisation Condition compliance, you will have opportunities to develop nuclear engineering skills and support activities across the Engineering Lifecycle, including design reviews, build, testing, commissioning, and resolving emergent issues. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
