About the Company
A leading manufacturer of high-precision scientific equipment is seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to strengthen its in-house electronics capability. The company designs and builds advanced systems used by industrial customers and research institutions worldwide.
The Role
This is a senior, hands-on engineering position suited to an experienced Electronics Engineer with a strong background in electronic design and development. You will play a key technical role in the delivery of complex electronic systems, contributing across the full product lifecycle while providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electronic hardware and embedded systems for high-precision scientific instrumentation.
* Take technical ownership of electronics designs from concept through to production.
* Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to junior engineers.
* Collaborate closely with mechanical and software engineers to ensure effective system integration.
* Support prototype build, verification testing, fault-finding, and design validation activities.
* Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement of engineering processes.
* Assist with the transition from prototype to production, including support for manufacturing and test.
Requirements
* Degree-qualified in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
* Extensive experience in analogue, digital, and power electronics design.
* Strong PCB design and layout experience.
* Experience with embedded systems development.
* Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with scientific, medical, or precision instrumentation is advantageous but not essential.
