Client: Having been established for over three quarters of a century our client is recognised as a market leading mechanical and electrical contractor throughout London and southeast. With a specialism in commercial office, rail and datacentres projects, they also work in public, retail, health and pharmaceutical sectors. In addition to their London business unit, they have an extensive international division and Cambridge office.

Key to their success is the development of good working relationships with their clients. As a result, they benefit from a large amount of repeat business. Their client base includes main contractors such as: Bovis, Sir Robert McAlpine, Mace and McLaren.

Role: Senior Electrical Project Engineer – London – Salary £70,000 - £80,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Full Travel Expenses + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus

The successful candidate will be based on a rail scheme in Acton.

Role/Responsibilities:

* Read, understand and scrutinise Specifications

* Assist with management of design stage

* Procurement of sub-contractors, kit and plant

* Investigate Value Engineering

* Assist with preparation of Contract Documents I.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s, etc.

* Coordination and management of direct labor

* Instruct and coordinate site managers

* Progress reporting

* Overseeing commissioning and testing

* Working with Quantity Surveyor on Commercial Accounts

* Preparation of OMs for final project handover

The ideal candidate:

* Ideally have a HNC or HND and good technical knowledge of Electrical services.

* Experience working in the rail sector

* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine,Mace, Wates, etc.

* Have the right forward thinking attitude
