Responsibilities in your new role as Senior Electrical Engineer
As a senior member of the Electrical Services team, you'll lead on the delivery and project management of electrical design across a range of projects. You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the quality and efficiency of both design and post-contract delivery.
You'll oversee and support junior engineers, contributing to their development, while acting as the lead consultant for mechanical and electrical services throughout all project stages. Managing multiple projects, you'll take responsibility from concept through to detailed design, preparing specifications and ensuring delivery aligns with client requirements and deadlines.
Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll work closely with clients and design teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring all work meets quality, environmental, and Health & Safety standards.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
We're looking for a degree-qualified Electrical Engineer, ideally working towards Chartered status, with a strong track record in project management, delivery, and quality assurance. You'll combine technical expertise with excellent people skills, bringing experience in team leadership and client interactions.
You'll be confident working independently, offering innovative solutions to both engineering and project challenges. Strong proficiency in key design software is essential, including CAD, Revit, Bluebeam, Amtech/Trimble, Dialux, PV Sol, Chorus, and Microsoft Office, alongside the ability to carry out manual calculations.
A full UK driving license is desirable, as travel to meetings and project sites may be required. In return, you'll join a supportive, forward-thinking team with a strong focus on continuous development and long-term career progression.
