Senior Electrical Engineer\nVertical Recruitment are collaborating with a highly successful global consultancy based in the USA, Asia, Middle East and UK and has now established a new office in Manchester.\nTheir Manchester team is experiencing rapid growth with plans to expand to 20 members in the coming years. The consultancy is actively engaged in diverse projects, with a particular focus on sports facilities such as stadiums.\nThey have an opening for an ambitious senior Electrical design engineer to contribute to the growth of their business. This role promises plenty opportunities for professional development, with involvement across various stages of the design process.\nRole and Responsibilities\n * Working as part of a design team delivering design from feasibility to completion and handover\n * Liaising closely with other professionals, including, clients, structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams\n * Attending a range of project group and technical meetings\n * Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements\n * Advising clients and architects on energy use and conservation in a range of buildings and sites, aiming to minimise the environmental impact and reduce the carbon footprint\n * Designing site-specific equipment as required\n * Technical reviews of contractor's proposals and on-site Inspections of the installation of building systems and maintenance and operating procedures\n * Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit), Trimble (Amtech), Revit / Dialux software and other resources to design the systems required for the project\nThe BENEFITS\n * Competitive salary £40,000 – £55,000 depending on experience and skills\n * Pension\n * Private Health insurance\n * Life insurance\n * Educational and professional development opportunities\n * 23 days’ holiday plus public holidays\nAdditional information/requirements\n * Short stay ad-hoc UK and international travel may be required (typically Europe and Middle East)
