Job Description
Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer \n Rate: £45.87/hr\n Location: Birmingham\n\nOverview:\n ARM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support projects across the Midlands, Southwest & Wales in sectors including residential, commercial, education, healthcare, transport, defence, and energy.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDesign and specify electrical systems: power, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection.\n\nProduce calculations (Excel, Amtech, Dialux/Relux) and technical specifications (NBS).\n\nCollaborate with BIM/Revit teams; conduct site surveys and inspections.\n\nManage workload, budgets, and support junior staff.\n\nMaintain quality, environmental, and governance standards.\n\nRequirements:\n\nDegree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering (or equivalent); Chartered (CIBSE/IET).\n\nExperience in design consultancy or contractor design environment.\n\nProficient with Amtech/Prodesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS, Microsoft Office.\n\nKnowledge of energy reduction, decarbonisation, and building physics.\n\nStrong report writing, client engagement, and independent working skills.\n\nWe can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK.
