Our client, a prominent firm in the Oil & Gas industry, is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Designer to join their dynamic team on a contract basis. This role is associated with a high-profile Carbon Capture project, based in our client's Manchester office. The successful applicant will report to the project lead engineer and benefit from a hybrid working arrangement, typically spending 2-3 days in the office per week.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nProviding safe, practical and economical designs to a high professional standard, adhering to company procedures\nProducing drawing office deliverables, including SLDs, cable schedules, material take offs, BCDs, schematics, and equipment and cable routing layouts\nChecking drawings in compliance with company procedures\nLiaising with other disciplines as required\nEngaging in 3D modelling using Navis Works and AVEVA E3D\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in electrical design within the Oil & Gas sector\nProficiency in CAD, with an emphasis on 3D modelling\nGood knowledge of HV and LV electrical design\nUnderstanding of UK legislation and standards\nRelevant qualifications such as ONC, OND, HNC, or HND\nExcellent design working practices and installation requirement knowledge\n\nPersonal Specification:\n\nHighly motivated\nEffective communicator, confident in engaging with colleagues and stakeholders\nCommitted to safety and risk management\nCustomer-focused\nIf you are a skilled Senior Electrical Designer with a passion for delivering high-quality designs and working on exciting projects within the energy sector, our client would love to hear from you.
