Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead and deliver high-quality electrical designs for power distribution networks up to 132kV . Working within an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) environment, you will be responsible for the full design lifecycle of contestable works, ensuring compliance with DNO/IDNO standards, statutory regulations, and project requirements.

This is a senior technical role requiring strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of UK power networks, and the ability to interface effectively with clients, DNOs/IDNOs, and internal delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities
Technical & Design Responsibilities
Lead the electrical design of LV, HV (11kV–33kV), and EHV (66kV–132kV) distribution networks.
Produce and approve detailed electrical designs including:
Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
Protection and control philosophies
Earthing and bonding designs
Substation layouts and equipment specifications
Cable routing, cable sizing, and installation details
