This client operates at the forefront of a range of high-impact projects in the commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and defence sectors. Role Overview
This Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of electrical systems for a variety of complex building services projects, managing stakeholder expectations, and mentoring junior engineers.
Senior Electrical Engineer – Key Responsibilities

Lead the electrical design process across all project stages, including calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings using industry-standard software such as Amtech, Dialux, and Revit.

Coordinate with internal M&E teams and external stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and end clients.

Conduct site inspections and surveys, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., BS7671, CIBSE guidelines).
*
Support and mentor junior engineers, contributing to their professional development.
*
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective solutions.
*
Provide technical input into bid submissions and attend design team/client meetings as required.
Senior Electrical Engineer – Key Requirements
*
Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (BEng/MEng), ideally Chartered or working toward CEng status with the IET or CIBSE.
*
A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical design within a building services consultancy environment.
*
Proficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Amtech, and Dialux/Relux.
*
Strong understanding of current UK building regulations, electrical standards, and sustainable design principles.
*
Demonstrable experience leading projects and working in multi-disciplinary teams.
*
Strong communication skills, client-facing confidence, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
