Senior Electrical Design Engineer HV Substations Location: Bury St Edmunds, Colchester, Ipswich, Stevenage (3x per week in office / 2x at home) | Type: Permanent Overview: Senior Electrical Design Engineer role within an energy infrastructure company, leading the electrical design process for high-voltage substation projects (up to 132kV) within the distribution and connections sector. Responsible for overseeing design delivery, mentoring engineers, and ensuring compliance with and industry standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate electrical design for HV substation projects (SLDs, HV cabling layouts, protection systems). Review and approve technical studies (fault analysis, protection coordination). Ensure compliance with standards, BS EN and IEC regulations.
