The Opportunity
Due to continued project expansion, we are currently seeking an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join our clients team in Warrington. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex, multi-discipline projects across a range of sectors including nuclear, oil & gas, energy, utilities, chemicals, petrochemicals, and food.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* Reporting to the Lead EC&I Engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of EC&I design work in single or multi-discipline EPCM or EPC projects.
* Projects are primarily UK-based, with potential for involvement across Europe and other regions.
* You will work across the full project lifecycle—from concept to commissioning—for both greenfield and brownfield sites.
* Responsible for ensuring design output meets project scope, budget, and timelines.
* Support the Lead Engineer in managing change control and design integration across disciplines.
* Participate in design reviews and ensure a high standard of technical quality and compliance.
* Coordinate EC&I activities with other engineering disciplines including mechanical, civil & structural, process, and automation.
* Provide input and support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
You will have the following qualifications & experience
* Previous experience as an EC&I engineer in an Engineering / EPCM / EPC environment.
* Strong understanding of EC&I engineering and design, with cross-discipline knowledge (e.g., civil, mechanical, automation, etc.).
* Competent in both Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.
* Proficient in industry tools such as AMTECH, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Degree qualified (MEng / MSc / BSc / BEng) in EC&I Engineering or a related field.
* Sound knowledge of current British and International Standards.
* SC clearance , or eligibility to obtain.
* Results-driven mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy, and client satisfaction.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan activities and manage dependencies across disciplines.
