Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

What will you be doing?
- Responsible for direct tax (corporate tax) compliance for all M Group entities
- Corporate tax accounting and reporting and specifically delivery of tax disclosures in Group and individual entity financial statements
- Direct tax advisory (business partnering)
- Managing Tax authority audits (corporate taxes)
- Managing corporate tax external tax adviser relationships
- Direct tax - tax savings and cash opportunities (e.g. RDEC)
What you’ll bring:
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporate tax, including corporation tax, capital allowances, loss relief and group relief.
- Ability to interpret complex legislation and provide clear, practical advice.
- Advanced analytical and modelling skills to assess tax risks and opportunities. Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, including influencing senior leaders.
- Experience overseeing corporation tax compliance, year‑end tax reporting and HMRC audits.
- Proven track record in tax planning, governance and process improvement.
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA with significant post‑qualification experience in practice and/or large in‑house environments.
- Skilled at managing priorities, developing junior team members and working within complex, multi‑entity groups.
