You will manage complex projects, work with multi‑functional teams, and deliver innovative services that support millions of people. You will modernise legacy systems, drive cloud adoption, and create low‑code solutions, leading impactful change in a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment. Team Focus
Core Digital Service – Benefit Payment Services: Manage technical delivery across complex digital environments, leading cross‑cutting projects and infrastructure/software upgrades on legacy systems. Work closely with the security manager to plan and coordinate patches and upgrades to maintain application security. Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS): Lead end‑to‑end delivery of multiple projects at pace, ensuring DWP’s continued transition to a hybrid cloud model. Manage risks, issues and dependencies, reporting progress to the HCS Programme Board. Low Code Team: Deliver low‑code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, modernising services from scratch or remediating legacy applications. Drive user‑focused innovation and ensure successful end‑to‑end delivery in a dynamic, forward‑thinking environment.
Requirements
Skills and experience as a digital project manager. Influential communication skills, able to lead with impact across a range of stakeholders and tailor messages appropriately. Track record of motivating peers to deliver at pace, setting a positive team environment and resolving difficult relationships. Detail‑oriented. Able to identify project risks and blockers, remove or action them quickly and effectively, and use lessons learned. Experience of procurement, commercial and supplier management, and budget management. Creative and effective planner, both internally and externally, optimising speed to market, value and quality. Adaptable and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, coping effectively with complexity and change.
Benefits & Compensation Location: Choose from Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle or Sheffield. Hybrid Working: Hybrid model – some time working at home and some time collaborating face‑to‑face in a hub. Pay: £57,946 – £68,205. Pension: Civil Service pension with employer contributions of 28.97% (worth over £16,758 per year). Holidays: 26 days rising to 31 days over time, plus up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi‑time, plus public holidays. Application Process
