What You'll Do:
Frieze has a large portfolio of digital products including frieze.com, thearmoryshow.com, expochigago.com, Android/iOS apps, Frieze Viewing Room online art fairs platform, digital ticketing and paywall/membership systems.
As the Senior Digital Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the planning, execution and delivery of Frieze’s diverse digital product portfolio, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to budget and meet end-user requirements to a high-level of quality.
Working alongside a team of Digital Product Managers, and Developers, your focus will be on coordinating digital project activities, managing resources effectively, and ensuring clear communication across all levels of the organisation. With a keen eye for detail and excellent teamwork skills you will guide all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, while mitigating risks and optimising project outcomes.
We are looking for candidates with relevant experience in Digital Project Management, ideally including one or more of; arts, premium brand, consumer media, premium events or equivalent agency experience, with a track record in building and partnering to deliver innovative and successful digital products.
Main Duties
Responsible for the successful delivery of all digital projects across the Frieze portfolio on time, to budget, and to a high degree of quality
Create, update and communicate clear and comprehensive project plans and documentation, including but not limited to project initiation documents, gantt charts and timelines, risk registers, requirements and scoping documentation and project budgets
Establish project teams and steering groups and use appropriate methodologies to ensure regular, clear communication with project stakeholders
Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders
Coordinate and lead all project stakeholder meetings, including but not limited to: project kick off meetings, status updates, steering committee meetings, and requirements gathering meetings with business stakeholders
Report and communicate effectively on the status of live projects to stakeholders across the organisation, including Senior Leadership
Lead and facilitate project workshops with stakeholders from various teams, as required
Work closely with the Senior Product Manager and Product Manager to ensure that requirements are clearly understood, and facilitate the writing and documentation of clear and detailed requirements and stories
Monitor project progress and timelines to ensure delivery on time: Assign tasks, set deadlines, resolve bottlenecks, provide status updates and reports and escalate where required
Effectively manage project budgets, reporting regularly on project spend to the Director of Digital
Oversee the project QA process, helping to ensure delivery of stable, high-quality products and outcomes
Manage relationships and communications with third party agencies and freelance resources to ensure successful project delivery
Proactively manage project risks, suggesting effective mitigations and escalating to the project steering committee and Director of Digital where required
Ensure effective and proactive change management throughout the project lifecycle, communicating regularly and effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations
Help foster a strong appreciation and adherence to proven project management techniques in the department and wider business
Continually look for ways of improving the project management function, identifying opportunities for efficiencies and streamlining.
You Have These:
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and to deliver successfully whilst prioritising competing demands
Leadership and team management skills, including proven experience of leading project teams involving in-house, freelance and third-party resources
Extensive experience in managing digital project teams, delivering projects on time and within budget.
Skilled and experienced in Agile and traditional project management (ideally with some recognised qualification in either or both)
Experienced user of project management and communication software (Atlassian products, Microsoft Project, Sharepoint, Notion etc.)
Preferential experience includes subscription/paywall digital products, mobile events apps, ticketing/events systems, CRM platforms, premium brands and/or media titles
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to work effectively with staff and suppliers at all levels across both technical and non-technical teams
A strong team player with an adaptable, pragmatic and collaborative attitude to work where team performance and the right outcome for the business are paramount
Experience in risk management, quality assurance, and change management processes
Strong analytical, prioritisation, and negotiating skills
Quick learner with ability and desire to quickly master new technology and systems
A passion for quality, a deep curiosity about everything and a natural attention to every detail
A continued desire to learn and self-improve, with a keenness to share experiences
A deep interest in, and experience of, digital technology and products
Highly effective at making yourself understood and in understanding others, verbally and in writing, willing and able to discuss technical topics with non-technical colleagues, an ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels within the business
Positive and energetic, comfortable with the occasionally demanding challenges of putting together live events where time pressures are critical
