Senior Design Manager – Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design process on a £30m healthcare construction project Coordinate consultant teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders Drive design programme to meet key project milestones Manage risk, compliance, and technical approvals Ensure design solutions are practical, cost-effective, and buildable Oversee BIM coordination and technical integration Support commercial and operational teams throughout delivery
Senior Design Manager – Requirements
Proven experience as a Senior Design Manager or Design Manager on large construction projects Experience delivering Healthcare, Laboratory, or Technically Complex Schemes (preferred) Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction standards Tier 1 or large main contractor experience desirable Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)
