West London Tier 1 Main Contractor | Major Infrastructure Programme A leading Tier 1 contractor is seeking an experienced Lead Design Manager to join the team on a large, technically complex data centre development based in Buckinghamshire. This is a key leadership role on a high-value, confidential project within the rapidly expanding data centre sector. You will be responsible for driving design excellence from pre-construction through to project delivery, working alongside top-tier consultants and specialist partners. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end design management process across all project phases Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams to ensure integration, compliance, and buildability Manage the design programme, including risk, change control, and value engineering Act as the main interface between client, consultants, and internal delivery teams Ensure all design outputs meet technical, commercial, and operational requirements Support procurement and contribute to technical reviews and subcontractor engagement Requirements Demonstrated experience as a Lead or Senior Design Manager on large-scale construction projects Strong background in data centres, mission-critical, or highly serviced environments Experience working within a main contractor (Tier 1 preferred) xehkeey Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to lead design teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment What's on Offer Opportunity to lead design on a flagship, large-scale data centre scheme Long-term project pipeline and career progression opportunities Competitive salary and benefits package Please click for more info or feel free to get in contact via LinkedIn, or for a confidential chat.
