Job Description

I’m recruiting on behalf of my client a Leading Tier 1 Main Contractor an experienced Senior Design Manager in the Manchester area.\n\nStart date: Asap\n\nSalary range: £85K -£90K +packages this will be based on experience\n\nDivision: Construction New Build\n\nAbout the project: Stadium Expansion\n\nRequired: High rise residential /Tier 1 main contractor experience\n\nDuties:\n\nReporting into the project team you will fully understand and manage the design requirements of the tender/project and to help and guidance to design co-ordinators where and as appropriate.\n\nCompany have been building excellence as a family-owned international construction company by offering trust, certainty and value to our clients whilst being at the heart of change.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n * Manage design consultants and sub consultants along with design sub-contractors to ensure correct and timely delivery of all design related information for the execution of the works on site\n\n * Input into the selection of the design team\n\n * Input into the Employers Requirement/Contractor Proposal Compatibility\n\n * Manage and assist the Design Manager during the construction phase\n\n * Chair and minute Design meetings and ensure production of information in line with the design\n\n * Consider alternative building methods, sub-contractor and materials\n\nExperience:\n\n * Understand the different Client procurement routes\n\n * Experience of working at pre-construction stage\n\n * Understanding of D&B contracts\n\n * Commercial awareness\n\n * Be able to use Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint\n\n * Be able to use Viewpoint for Projects (4Projects)\n\nQualifications:\n\n * Degree in construction related discipline\n\n * Minimum six years’ construction industry experience\n\nIf is of your interest apply with the latest version of your cv or call Georgeta for a confidential chat
