Murphy is recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer (Geotechnical) to work with Murphy Applied Engineering in our Warrington office. Our engineering teams represent a multi-disciplined range of engineering skills, adding value across all our sectors, and pushing the boundaries of digital construction, engineering innovation and design to deliver intelligent, sustainable and economical engineering solutions. Under the banner of Murphy Applied Engineering, our in-house teams include civil, structural, mechanical, geotechnical and process engineers. They design both permanent and temporary works for projects in all our locations and are a trusted source of expert advice for both Murphy colleagues and external customers. A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Design Engineer
Managing junior geotechnical engineers Managing team workload and providing advise/support to the team as required Leading Pre-FEED and FEED studies General project management of study work (cost control and reporting) Desktop geotechnical studies to support routing of pipelines Providing advice/liaison to Geotechnical Contractors undertaking ground investigation works Lead advisor on the management of ground risk at all stages of projects from concept through to construction and installation Managing scheduling of ground investigation works Commercial evaluations of ground investigation quotes Lead engineer for GIR's and GDR's Lead engineer for consents associated with NWR's UTX's and National Highways Road Crossings Interpretation of factual ground investigation reports
