Senior Design Engineer Substations- HV Plant

We're looking for an experienced high-voltage substation design engineer to help achieve success on multimillion pound projects ideally within the Midlands.
What You'll Be Doing Design substations that meet client needs, budgets, and deadlines Help with tenders, contracts, and technical drawings Work closely with teams and clients to deliver projects smoothly Visit sites often and stay connected with the operations team Support and train engineers and CAD technicians Join design reviews and help improve standards and processes Follow safety, quality, and environmental rules (OHSAS 18001, ISO9001, ISO14001) Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels What You'll Bring Strong knowledge of National Grid, British Standards, and UK design rules Degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering 5+ years' experience in power transmission and substation design Skilled in 2D CAD software (Autodesk preferred) Able to quickly learn new engineering software Experience with NGET stage 4.4 design and earthing up to 400kV Knowledge of related areas: overhead lines, civil design, protection & control, HV cables Bonus: MSc, chartership, expert in CDEGS, AutoCAD, and power system tools What's in it for you?
