Senior Delivery Manager – Digital Transformation

Manchester or London (Hybrid)

Salary: £65,000-£80,000 (depending on experience)


We’re working with a well-established digital transformation consultancy delivering complex, high-impact programmes across the UK public sector. Their work spans healthcare, defence, environment, and digital government, focused on building modern, scalable services that make a real difference.


The Role

You’ll take ownership of delivering complex digital projects, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.

This is a hands-on delivery role where you’ll be embedded in agile teams, while also managing stakeholders, risks, and overall delivery performance.


You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading agile delivery across software and digital projects
  • Managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
  • Owning delivery plans, RAID logs, reporting, and governance
  • Ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to a high standard
  • Driving continuous improvement across teams and delivery practices


What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience delivering complex digital or software projects in an agile environment
  • Background in a consultancy or client-facing setting
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience managing budgets, commercial aspects, and delivery governance
  • Comfortable working with technical teams in modern engineering environments
  • Ability to lead teams in fast-paced, evolving delivery environments
  • Experience working with UK public sector clients
  • Knowledge of GDS standards and service delivery frameworks
  • Exposure to cloud, DevOps, and modern software practices
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
