Senior Delivery Manager (Contract) - Energy Consultancy
We are seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex programmes within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. This role is accountable for ensuring that critical initiatives are planned, governed, and delivered effectively, balancing transformation with operational resilience and compliance.
Delivery Leadership
Own the delivery of large-scale, complex, and often multi-year programmes or portfolios
Ensure delivery to agreed timescales, budgets, and quality standards
Lead delivery across multiple teams, suppliers, and delivery partners
Balance pace of delivery with operational, technical, and system risk
Planning & Execution
Develop and maintain delivery plans, roadmaps, and milestones
Identify and manage dependencies across technology, operations, data, and policy
Oversee forecasting, capacity planning, and delivery sequencing
Provide clear, transparent reporting on progress, risks, and delivery trade-offs
Governance & Risk Management
Operate within a regulated environment, ensuring appropriate delivery controls are in place
Proactively manage risks, issues, and escalations
Support senior decision-making through clear, evidence-based reporting
Collaborate closely with assurance, architecture, and regulatory stakeholders
Stakeholder & Partner Management
Act as a key interface between:
Technology and delivery teams
Business and operational leaders
External vendors and delivery partners
Senior executives and governance forums
Align diverse stakeholder priorities into a single, coherent delivery approach
