DATABASE ENGINEER, DBA, SYBASE ASE, SYBASE IQ, MS SQL, Oracle
A leading financial organisation are looking for a Senior DBA to join their team,
Seeking a hands-on DBA Lead to guide a small database administration team and take ownership of a diverse database environment.
Responsible for overseeing the setup, maintenance, and daily operation of multiple database platforms.
The database landscape includes Sybase, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
Ideal for an experienced DBA Team Lead supporting a mid-sized organization.
Provides technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to DBA team members.
Defines and communicates the database strategy, ensuring successful execution by the team.
Demonstrated experience working within Agile delivery environments is required.
Strong expertise in Scripting , automation techniques, and tooling.
Must be capable of identifying inefficiencies, manual processes, and recurring issues, then replacing them with DevOps-driven automation following best practices.
Participation in a rotational weekend and out-of-hours support schedule is required.
Strong hands-on experience with Sybase (ASE, IQ, and Replication) and Microsoft SQL Server is mandatory.
Oracle database exposure is highly desirable, along with familiarity with open-source database technologies.
