About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and commercially minded Senior Customer Relationship Lead to join a growing organisation. This is a key customer‑facing role responsible for nurturing long‑term partnerships, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and coordinating end‑to‑end order management across operational teams.
You will act as the internal voice of your assigned customers, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and seamless communication from order placement through to final shipment. This role sits at the heart of the commercial function and plays a vital part in supporting strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of allocated customer accounts, acting as their primary point of contact.
* Strengthen customer relationships and drive engagement to support organic account growth.
* Manage scheduling requirements and provide timely, accurate updates.
* Oversee the full order lifecycle, ensuring alignment with production, engineering, and quality teams.
* Process customer purchase orders and coordinate materials planning with internal buyers.
* Prepare and participate in Quarterly Business Reviews, ensuring all performance data is collated.
* Monitor excess and slow‑moving stock, ensuring accountability and cost control.
* Support commercial negotiations for new projects.
* Present key customer KPIs and financial information to senior leadership.
* Collaborate with internal teams to share customer knowledge and maintain consistency.
* Travel to UK customer sites as required (a full driving licence is essential).
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience managing customer accounts in a manufacturing or technical environment.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong commercial awareness, including understanding of revenue, margin, and cost structures.
* Confident in negotiation and influencing senior decision‑makers.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm under pressure.
* Strong MRP knowledge and the ability to work with complex schedules.
* High levels of attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Background in electronics or related manufacturing is an advantage.
* Willingness to travel within the UK when required.
