Senior Credit Manager

WA is supporting a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced credit professional to shape regional performance within a complex, international finance operation. This Senior Credit Manager role offers the chance to lead large, multi-layered teams, influence global stakeholders, and play a pivotal part in driving cash, risk, and operational excellence across a transforming order‑to‑cash function. The role is based in Glasgow and operates on a hybrid working model, offering flexibility alongside strong collaboration with global finance leadership.
Opportunity
Reporting into a senior global finance leader, the Senior Credit Manager takes ownership of a regional credit control operation, balancing strategic oversight with hands‑on leadership. You will be accountable for performance against core KPIs including cash collection, DSO, ADD, and dispute resolution, while acting as a subject matter expert across the wider OTC lifecycle. The role will work closely with change and transformation teams to ensure new processes, systems, and ways of working deliver tangible value and are embedded successfully across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop regional credit control leadership teams, driving engagement, capability, and high performance
Own delivery of cash collection, DSO, ADD, and associated KPIs across the region
Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management through structured objectives and KPIs
Act as a senior stakeholder partner, influencing at operational leadership and executive level
Drive consistent governance, controls, and audit compliance across credit operations
Produce and present executive‑level reporting on performance, risk, and improvement initiatives
Champion continuous improvement across credit, billing, sales ledger, and credit risk processes
Support and help shape global transformation initiatives impacting the OTC function
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience leading large, direct and indirect credit or collections teams within complex environments
Strong end‑to‑end knowledge of credit control, collections, and credit risk management
Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and transformation programmes
Confident stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders and executives
Solid understanding of accounting principles, including bad debt provision and balance‑sheet interpretation
A collaborative, people‑focused leadership style with a track record of developing high‑performing teams
Additional language skills (German, Dutch, French, or Arabic) are advantageous but not essential
