Senior Contracts Manager - Structural Steelwork Industry: Structural Steel / Construction / Engineering A leading Tier 2 structural engineering contractor is looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to oversee structural steel projects across the UK. This is a senior level role, ideal for someone confident managing multiple steelwork packages (500+ tonnes) and delivering projects from design through to installation. Role Overview
Manage the full project lifecycle: planning, design coordination, fabrication, installation and commercial delivery Oversee multiple steelwork projects simultaneously Monitor programmes, ensuring deadlines, quality and commercial targets are met Lead client, subcontractor and internal team communication Provide strong commercial and contractual oversight Remote‑based with 1 office day per week plus site and client visits as required
Requirements
Proven experience delivering 500+ tonne structural steel projects Strong IT skills (Word, Excel) Excellent written and verbal communication Solid working knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts Ability to work independently and manage multiple live projects
Desirable Qualifications
Degree in Construction Management (or equivalent) IOSH CSCS Black Managers Card Appointed Person (AP)
