Senior Construction Manager

(12-Month Contract | Aberdeen)

We are currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager to join a major transmission infrastructure programme, supporting the delivery of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) projects as part of a long-term pathway to 2030.

This role sits within a project delivery team responsible for civils works packages on onshore AC substations and HVDC converter stations, working closely with project teams and supply chain partners.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the key on-site representative, serving as the primary point of contact for contractors and stakeholders Ensure all site operations comply with health and safety legislation, company standards, and construction regulations Work closely with contractors and operations teams to deliver works safely, on time, and in line with environmental standards Monitor site performance, ensuring compliance with planning consents, safety requirements, and project KPIs Maintain regular reporting and oversight of construction activities Build strong working relationships with contractors, suppliers, and local communities while promoting a positive safety culture

Key Requirements

Proven experience in on-site construction management or supervision within the civils or construction sector Experience in electricity transmission infrastructure such as substations or HVDC projects is desirable Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM 2015 regulations Experience coordinating multiple contractors and subcontractors to deliver projects to schedule and budget Experience with quality assurance processes, including inspection and test plans Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge and resolve issues effectively Full UK driving licence required due to site travel
