Senior Commissioning Officer Adult Social Care (Supported Living)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority for an experienced Senior Commissioning Officer to join their Adult Social Care commissioning team, with a specific focus on supported living. This is a project-based role supporting the development of supported living contracts, alongside other commissioning projects as required. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing service specifications, engaging with providers, and producing clear, robust business cases to support decision-making. The client is looking for someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders, and produce high-quality written documentation. Strong commissioning experience within a Local Authority Adult Social Care setting is essential. Key responsibilities include: Leading and supporting supported living contract development
Developing commissioning specifications and options appraisals
Engaging with providers and internal stakeholders
Preparing business cases, reports and supporting documentation
Contributing to wider Adult Social Care commissioning projects as directed
Essential requirements: Proven commissioning experience within a Local Authority
Strong understanding of Adult Social Care, particularly supported living
