Sonata One is a rapidly scaling, regulated fund services and technology (fintech) business. We're The Private Funds Clearinghouse, connecting more than 53,000 investors with 6,500 funds and 180 fund managers around the globe. Our vision is to change the paradigm of private markets investing through harmonising the end-to-end investment process within one platform. Investors benefit from a seamless, one & done experience across the fund lifecycle (from fund selection and subscription through to settlement and reporting) underpinned by a globally compliant KYC passport and 24/7 support. Fund managers can raise capital faster at a lower cost from a wider pool of pre-approved investors. Founded in 2015, Sonata One has a presence in eight locations worldwide including the US, UK and Luxembourg, Guernsey, South Africa and Mauritius.

Position Overview:
As the part of the rapid growth of our commercial function, we are hiring a senior commercial development director, based in London with a focus on the US market. This is a senior position within our commercial team, and you will be responsible for owning and driving new US fund manager logos. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the development of the commercial efforts and your mission will be to drive growth through new logo acquisition, forge meaningful connections in the industry, and accelerate our brand recognition with US Fund Managers.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute innovative commercial strategies that align with the company's goals and values.
Identify and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and investors to expand our network and opportunities.
Drive new logo acquisition within our target market, and ICPs – With a laser sharp focus on the US top 250 GPs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of business initiatives.
Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory developments, integrating insights into our market approach.
Own and execute the Sonata One sales process, using our sales playbook and ensuring our services are sold in the right way
Manage pipeline and ensure accurate data through our CRM tool, hubspot. This includes weekly reporting to the commercials leads on all deals

Qualifications:
A track record of driving commercial success, achieving growth targets, and fostering lasting connections in the financial private markets sector.
Demonstrable connection to the key stakeholders within the top 250 GPs globally – This includes direct access to CCO’s, COO’s, Heads of IR and GC’s.
Deep experience of the GP/LP investor journey. A successful candidate will have working knowledge of KYC, Subscription, Tax and Transfer Agency.
Extensive understanding of financial markets, products, and industry dynamics and the ability to reach out to connections instantly.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
Ability to work at pace – we are a growing business that demands revenue delivery on an ongoing basis, not sporadic. Candidate must be able to build and manage a diverse pipeline of opportunity size. This includes achieving an annual run rate of at least £1million in the first nine months.
