Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer\n\n Exeter\n\n £45,000 – £55,000\n\nWe’re working with a well-established, Exeter-based consultancy who are looking to strengthen its Civil Infrastructure team with the addition of a Senior Engineer.\n\nYou’ll be joining at a busy and exciting time, with a strong pipeline of residential and mixed-use development projects secured well into 2026.\n\nThe role\n\nTake technical ownership of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to detailed design and delivery\n\n Lead the design of drainage, highways and external works solutions for development-led schemes\n\n Prepare and review technical outputs, including drainage strategies, FRAs, earthworks appraisals and detailed design packages\n\n Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including planners, architects and approving authorities\n\n Mentor and support junior engineers, playing a key role in the long-term growth of the civils team\n\nWhat we’re looking for\n\nDegree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline\n\n 5–10 years’ UK consultancy experience in civil infrastructure design\n\n Strong experience across drainage, SuDS, highways and development infrastructure\n\n Proficiency with AutoCAD and drainage software (MicroDrainage / Causeway Flow); Civil 3D experience advantageous\n\n Confident communicator with experience working directly with clients and approving bodies\n\nWhat’s on offer\n\nCompetitive salary (£45,000 – £55,000 DOE)\n\n Profit-related bonus scheme\n\n 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays\n\n Pension contributions and life cover\n\n Private health scheme & enhanced parental leave\n\n Flexible benefits (gym membership, cycle scheme, additional insurance, etc.)\n\n ICE-accredited training scheme and full support towards professional qualifications\n\n Hybrid and flexible working options\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious civil engineer looking to step into a senior role with real responsibility, progression and exposure to high-quality development projects across the South West
