Senior Civil Engineer £50,000 - £55,000 Devon

A well-established civil, structural, and infrastructure design consultancy based in Newton Abbot, Devon is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join its experienced team of engineers and technicians.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering designs across roads, drainage, and infrastructure projects, including the preparation and coordination of Section 104, 38, and 278 technical submissions. Acting as a primary point of contact, they will manage projects from inception to completion, working closely with multidisciplinary teams while overseeing engineers and technicians and reporting to the Director of Civil Engineering.

This role requires strong communication skills, with regular liaison with clients, architects, contractors, and statutory authorities, as well as attendance at site meetings, inspections, and progress reporting.

Requirements & Experience:

Degree (BEng/MSc or equivalent) in Civil Engineering Minimum 3 years’ experience within a design consultancy environment Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, Civils 3D, and PDS Experience in roads, drainage, and infrastructure design Knowledge of SuDS, FRA, DMRB, and highways design (desirable) Strong understanding of Section 278, 104, and 38 adoption procedures Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team to meet project deadlines Chartered status or working towards chartership (desirable)What’s on Offer:
