Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join PM Group, working from our Birmingham office.

* Contract: Full Time – Permanent

Responsibilities

*

Lead the civil engineering design of site development works, including earthworks, road design, underground drainage (surface, foul and process), and utility infrastructure.

*

Undertake analysis and design across all civil engineering aspects, from concept and detailed design through to commissioning.

*

Respond to site queries and manage design change requests during the construction phase.

*

Prepare man-hour estimates and technical documentation to support bid and tender activities.

*

Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal multidisciplinary teams throughout the design and delivery process.

*

Act as the focal point for all civil engineering input across the full project lifecycle.

*

Ensure all work is delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and internal company procedures.

Qualifications

*

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering.

*

Chartered Engineer status (ICE) preferred.

*

Demonstrated expertise in civil engineering design for relevant project types (e.g. drainage systems, earthworks, site infrastructure).

*

Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Windes, Revit, Civil 3D, PDS, and Autotrack.

*

Experience working on civil site construction stages is desirable.

*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

*

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

*

Proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong “can-do” attitude.

*

Demonstrated aptitude for leadership and mentoring or managing others.
