Senior Civil Engineer – Water / Infrastructure\n Location:\n\n Newcastle upon Tyne\n\n Salary:\n\n £48,000 – £65,000 + package\n\n Job Type:\n\n Permanent\n\n Working Arrangement:\n\n Hybrid\n\nOverview\n We are working with a well-established engineering consultancy delivering infrastructure and water projects across the UK.\n\nDue to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work (including AMP8 frameworks), they are looking to appoint a \n Senior Civil Engineer\n\n to join their Newcastle team.\n\nThe Role\n You will be involved in the delivery of civil engineering projects across the full lifecycle, from feasibility through to detailed design and construction support.\n\nKey responsibilities include:\n\nCivil design for water and wastewater infrastructure projects\n\nWorking across drainage, utilities, and general infrastructure design\n\nSupporting project delivery from concept through to construction\n\nLiaising with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams\n\nLeading technical delivery on projects\n\nMentoring and supporting junior engineers\n\nRequirements\n\n Experience in civil engineering design (water, infrastructure, or utilities)\n\nBackground in a consultancy or contractor environment\n\nStrong technical understanding of infrastructure design\n\nAbility to manage and deliver projects or work packages\n\nWorking towards or achieved chartership (ICE or equivalent )\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n Salary of £48,000 – £65,000 depending on experience\n\nStrong pipeline of long-term infrastructure and water projects\n\nClear progression opportunities into senior and leadership roles\n\nHybrid working and flexible arrangements\n\nSupport towards professional development and chartership\n\nAdditional Information\n This role would suit candidates currently working within a large consultancy or contractor environment who are looking for greater project ownership and clearer progression.\n\nApply\n To apply for this position, please submit your CV or contact us for a confidential discussion
