Abatec is recruiting for a Senior Civil Engineer to help deliver major water and wastewater infrastructure across the South West. You’ll be part of a collaborative design and build team working on a long-term programme of investments through AMP 8 and into AMP 9. You’ll play a key role in developing civil solutions from early concept right through to commissioning. As Senior Civil Engineer you will: * Provide design support and technical guidance, ensuring all designs are fit for purpose and compliant with current legislation and standards * Manage interfaces between civil design and other engineering disciplines, and produce key project documentation * Work collaboratively with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop safe, efficient and practical solutions * Act as a technical adviser on project deliverables and carry out technical reviews across other teams * Support and mentor junior engineers, contributing to team development and resource planning Our client requires a Senior Civil Engineer with: * Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline * Chartered Engineer (CEng) status with a relevant professional institution * Proven experience delivering high-quality civil engineering outputs to design, safety and quality standards * Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams * A valid driving licence and willingness to travel across the operational region Salary/Benefits: * £60,000 - £70,000 * Pension match by employer up to 7% * Annual bonus schemes * Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, Critical Illness Cover and Health Screening * 33 days holiday, inclusive of public holidays * Support towards chartership with mentoring and tailored training If you would like more information, or to apply for this vacancy, please contact Lloyd Barham on (phone number removed).
