Senior Civil Engineer\n Leicester\n\nAn established and design-led multidisciplinary Consultancy in Leicester is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their expanding Civils team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced engineer from a Consultancy background who wants to take on greater responsibility, lead a variety of projects, and play a key role in the continued growth of a forward-thinking, collaborative practice.\n\nThe Consultancy has built a strong reputation across the Midlands for delivering innovative, practical, and sustainable engineering solutions. Their portfolio spans a wide range of sectors including residential, commercial, mixed-use, education, and infrastructure developments.

Working closely with architects, developers, and local authorities, the team is known for its creative, design-led approach and commitment to technical excellence.\n\nAs Senior Civil Engineer, you will take a leading role in delivering a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects, ranging from small-scale highway improvements to major multi-million-pound residential and commercial developments. Typical schemes include access junctions (roundabouts, signalised junctions, ghost-island right turns, and priority junctions), highway alignments, drainage strategies, and flood risk assessments. You will oversee design delivery, mentor junior team members, and ensure all work meets the highest technical and legislative standards.\n\nYou will hold a degree in Civil Engineering (or an equivalent qualification) and have at least eight years of post-graduate experience within the UK civil engineering or development infrastructure sector.

You will be proficient in AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Vehicle Tracking, and MicroDrainage/Flow, with a strong understanding of design standards and best practice, including DMRB, Manual for Streets, LTN 1/20, and NRSWA. Experience of delivering detailed designs for Section 278, Section 38, and Section 104 agreements is essential, along with a solid knowledge of local authority and Highways procedures. Chartered status, or working towards it (ICE/CIHT/CIWEM), would be advantageous.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Civil Engineer to step into a senior role within a supportive, design-focused environment that values creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
