This is an exciting opportunity to join my client, a trusted, developing Multidisciplinary Consultancy, dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by establishing a brand new office location in bonnie Scotland. Known for lending their expertise to a diverse range of high-profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are currently searching for a talented, enthusiastic Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to take on a variety of challenging new projects. You will be working alongside a newly-established team of design experts, based in the beautiful, historical Scottish Capital City of Edinburgh.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
Contributing to the design of a range of exciting projects and developments
Overseeing the day-to-day running of various projects, from inception through to successful delivery and implementation
Mentoring and supporting colleagues through their professional development
Liaising with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Preparing and checking reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and other technical documents
Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, ensuring you uphold the appropriate health and safety standards at all times
Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, and other events
Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
A UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
Experience of working in a design-based role, within a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority
Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (namely highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects
Experience of earthworks and drainage network modelling
Proficient in the use of various software systems (to include Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD, and similar)
Considerable experience of writing and checking a variety of technical documents
Demonstrable experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders within the industry
Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:
- A Higher Degree (in a relevant discipline)
- Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments
- Experience of preparing Transport Assessments
- Experience of leading projects/teams
- Experience of working in a public-facing role
- Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
