Job Description

Senior Civil / Drainage Design Engineers (x2–3)

London (Hybrid – 2 days in office)

6-Month Contract (Inside IR35)

Rate: £DOE

Start: ASAP

I’m currently working with a leading consultancy in London who are looking to bring on 2–3 Senior Civil / Drainage Design Engineers to support a strong pipeline of live projects.

This role requires engineers who can hit the ground running, take ownership of design packages, and operate in a client-facing capacity from day one.

Key Experience Required:

• Surface & foul water drainage design within buildings and below-ground slab (Part H)

• Sewer & drainage system design (combined & separate systems)

• SuDS design and Flood Risk Assessments

• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations Part H, NBS, H2

• Experience with S104 / S106 / S185 approvals and regulatory processes

• Comfortable working across RIBA Stages 3–5

• Proven client liaison / stakeholder management experience

Design Exposure:

• Blue roofs / Green roofs

• Rainwater harvesting systems

• Permeable paving

• Attenuation tanks

• Pumped drainage solutions

Software:

• Civil 3D

• InfoDrainage

The Role:

• Lead and deliver drainage design across multiple projects

• Produce detailed designs and drainage strategies

• Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders

• Engage directly with clients and support project delivery

Contract Details:

• Inside IR35

• 6-month initial contract (likely extension)

• Hybrid working – 2 days per week in London
