Leader Health and Social Care are recruiting Senior Children’s Residential Support Workers to support children and young people within high-quality residential settings across West Yorkshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support workers who are confident in leading shifts, supporting junior staff, and contributing to the consistent delivery of high-quality care for children and young people with SEMH, EBD, and complex needs,
Key Responsibilities:
Act as Shift Leader, ensuring safe and effective day-to-day running of the home Provide high-quality, child-centred care in line with care plans and risk assessments Support and mentor Residential Support Workers and new starters Promote positive behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies Liaise with managers, social workers, and external professionals Ensure accurate recording, incident reports, and handovers are completed to Ofsted standards Support safeguarding practices and maintain a safe, nurturing environment Essential Requirements:
Minimum 12 months’ experience working in a children’s residential setting Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential Experience supporting children with SEMH / EBD / challenging behaviour Ability to lead shifts confidently and support team development Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and care standards Full UK Driving Licence – preferred Flexibility to work days, nights, and sleep-ins What We Offer:
