You’ll mentor team members and provide management support in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager. Responsibilities: * Support the purchasing team to meet project deadlines. * Cover purchasing duties during the Supply Chain Manager's absence. * Assist with annual budget preparation and capital expenditure advice. * Oversee materials requirement planning and ensure accuracy. * Analyse market conditions, manage stock levels, and mitigate risks. * Negotiate contracts and maintain supplier relationships. * Secure long-term cost agreements and review supply agreements. * Conduct supplier audits and support cost-down programmes. * Maintain SAP data accuracy and manage electronic/manual systems. * Collaborate with accounts and production teams to minimise shortages. * Engage in process improvements and lean management projects. Candidate Requirements: * CIPS qualification with strong purchasing knowledge. * MUST have SAP experience. * Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills. * Ability to prioritise workload and maintain accuracy. * Flexible and willing to travel as required.
