The Senior Business Analyst has accountability for root cause analysis, business improvement & change, reporting, identification and establishment of effective process controls, and the definition and recommendation of improvements for senior management approval. This incorporates the accountability for the outsource invoice validations and contract management and the improvements identified will help to manage the outsource budget.
For this expert knowledge in the system would be appreciated (Example: SAP CRM and ISU, UI5).
The Senior Business Analyst main functions:
Process definition and changes to improve and adapt to regulatory or other changes (smart, etc)
Data analysis and monitoring activities after SAP changes ensuring that this is reflected in the outsourcing reductions
Process improvement
Testing the CR and incidents delivered from third parties.
What you'll be doing
Key accountabilities will include - but not be limited to - the following:
Manage and undertake root cause analysis, idea generation and subsequent implementation and review of robust business solutions aimed at delivering quality across all Energy Retail processes
Monitoring the production activity after the promotion of new functionalities or changes in the system analysing the data from the system and the impact on the processes
Take ownership of all analysis and produce recommendations and reporting in relation to internal & external performance analysis
Proactive analysis of KPIs to identify system or process issues.
Document existing business processes and workflows and translate business requirements into functional requirements for technical teams.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and testers to drive forward system and process improvements
What you'll bring
Specific knowledge of SAP for Utilities (i.e. CRM, ISU)
Extensive knowledge on Python, Synapse SQL, Power BI etc.
Customer management skills
Experience with improvements and system implementations
Analytical skills, including run queries, programs in SAP
Strong customer focus
Analytical thinking
Ability to work in a global environment
Problem solving capacity
Multi-task capacity for doing analysis end-to-end across different processes
Experience in utilities industry with a clear understanding of the complexities inherent in the de-regulated electricity and gas markets.
Proven ability to mobilise & generate continuous employee, business, customer and financial improvement.
Ability to take responsibility of process end to end
Minimum Criteria
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate and influence at all levels in the organisation
Ability to prioritise workloads while focussing on quality and delivery to agreed timelines
Previous experience in delivering IT projects.
Experience in proactively analysing the system to look for improvements and issues.
