We’re looking for a senior Business Analyst to support a complex transformation initiative.
We are specifically looking for a Senior Business Analyst who has worked in ambiguous, transformation‑led environments and can influence decisions before solutions are selected.
Not a delivery‑only or documentation‑focused role.
Rate: £600-£750/day Inside IR35 - paid through an umbrella company only
Location: Base is Stevenage in Hertfordshire - Hybrid Working (travel maybe required)
Duration: 6 months
Start 1st of April at the latest
This is not a traditional requirements‑only BA role. The successful candidate will operate upstream of delivery, working with senior stakeholders to shape business problems, develop value propositions and business cases, and support validation of technology options against business outcomes.
Strong experience in business problem definition and discovery
Ability to develop and articulate business narratives and investment cases
Confident engagement with senior business and technology stakeholders
Outcome‑led requirements shaping (not documentation‑heavy execution)
Business & Strategic
Strong commercial and strategic acumen
Ability to translate strategy into actionable business outcomes
Experience shaping business cases and investment narratives
Analysis & Delivery
Advanced requirements elicitation and shaping skills
Strong prioritisation and decision‑support capability
Experience working iteratively in complex delivery environments
Stakeholder & Communication
Excellent facilitation, influencing, and storytelling skills
Comfortable operating with senior leaders and ambiguous problems
Able to simplify complexity into clear, decision‑ready insight
Strong understanding of digital, ai, data, and platform concepts
Able to engage credibly with architects and engineers
Focused on fit‑for‑purpose enablement, not technical design ownership
Experience & Background
Proven experience in a Senior Business Analyst or equivalent role
Experience operating within:
Transformation or large‑scale change initiatives
Demonstrated ability to navigate through:
