Senior Building Surveyor – Kent / South East London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to join a well-established and growing construction consultancy. This role offers the chance to take a leading position within a dynamic Building Surveying team, delivering a diverse portfolio of projects while contributing to the continued growth of the business.

The Role
You will lead the delivery of a broad range of professional and contract surveying services, working predominantly with public sector residential clients, alongside projects across commercial, education, leisure and retail sectors.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading refurbishment, alteration and major works projects from inception to completion

*

Acting as Contract Administrator, managing all contractual processes and documentation

*

Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation (primarily JCT contracts)

*

Undertaking building surveys, feasibility studies and providing strategic technical advice

*

Managing stakeholder relationships and chairing project meetings

*

Overseeing site inspectors and external consultants

*

Mentoring junior team members and supporting team development

*

Contributing to business development and service growth

About You

*

Extensive experience in Building Surveying, ideally within public sector or social housing

*

Strong background in contract administration and major works delivery

*

Advanced knowledge of JCT contracts

*

Solid technical understanding of refurbishment works (e.g. roofing, windows, structural repairs, internal programmes)

*

Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills

*

Proactive, client-focused and commercially aware
