One of the UK's leading property consultancies are currently seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Building Surveyor to join their Building Consultancy team in London, working with a diverse client base across both the private and public sectors.\n\nMy client partner with commercial property owners, investors, developers and occupiers, advising across the full commercial property lifecycle. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of instructions, they are now looking to expand their Building Consultancy offering with the appointment of a high calibre Building Surveyor.\n\nThe Building Surveyor Role\n\nThe successful Building Surveyor will join a well established and busy consultancy team, delivering a broad range of professional building surveying instructions across multiple property sectors including retail, office, leisure, residential, industrial and logistics.\n\nYou will work closely with colleagues across Building Consultancy, Project Management, Cost Management and wider property teams to deliver best in class advice to occupier, investor, developer and public sector clients.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an outward looking Building Surveyor looking to develop their career within a growing, UK managed business, with clear opportunities for professional and personal progression.\n\nDuties of the Building Surveyor to include:\n\n· Undertaking building inspections and producing clear, professional reports\n · Preparing technical specifications and administering repair and refurbishment contracts\n · Developing and negotiating dilapidations schedules and exit strategies\n · Preparing planned preventative maintenance programmes\n · Carrying out reinstatement cost assessments for insurance purposes\n · Delivering technical due diligence, acquisition surveys and schedules of condition\n · Advising on defects, feasibility studies and party wall matters\n · Acting as Contract Administrator, Employer's Agent and Project Manager where required\n · Supporting portfolio instructions and undertaking ad hoc project duties\n · Building and maintaining strong client relationships with internal and external stakeholders\n · Contributing to business development activity and mentoring junior surveyors\n\nThe Person?\n\nThe successful Building Surveyor will be technically strong, commercially aware and motivated to progress within a consultancy environment.
